The show kicked off with one his older songs, back in 2009, “Love City”, which was met with raucous applause. Dan Patlansky mixed in a range of his new songs, with his old solid classics. The crowd went wild for his top hits, such as “Backbite” and “Sonnova Faith”. It was a real treat to hear some of his tracks from his latest album “Perfection Kills” such as “Johnny”, “Never Long Enough” and “Too Far Gone”.

High On Fire announces Winter 2019 US Tour

High On Fire have announced the Electric Messiah tour 2019 in continued support of their new LP released earlier this year.

These dates will be the first time the band has played live since the cancelation of their tour with Municipal Waste earlier this year due to the partial amputation of Matt Pike’s toe.

High On Fire released “Electric Messiah” last month to some serious critical acclaim. The A.V. Club stated that “The bar for metal album of the year has been raised” and they couldn't be more correct. “Electric Messiah” has landed on both Revolver Magazine and Loudwire’s top albums of 2018 lists.

Ghost live in Florida 2018

For those that don’t know Ghost, the band was formed by Tobias Forge back in 2006 in Linkoping Sweden. As the music they were creating was unlike anything that they had created before, the band decided to take on a more theatrical approach and the Forge adopted the persona of “Papa Emeritus” and dressed in Papal garb, while the rest of band donned black outfits and masks and would be known as Nameless Ghouls.

Bad Touch live in London 2018 along with Daxx & Roxane and Aaron Buchanan and The Cult Classics

It was funny watching Bad Touch sound checking and getting ready, joking around with the audience. As soon as they hit the stage they smash straight in, starting with a heavy drum solo. Stevie jumps up and down as they switch to a more upbeat and faster pace. The lights go down, marking the change to a heavier tone, and they crash back in with a hard-rocker. They started off giving the audience a taste of a few songs off their latest album. Then flipped it on its head, following with an old favourite from their first album.

Flowerpot is another great example of women in the Rock industry. I loved Steph’s, lead singer, style; grunge clothes, including ripped tights and undone combat boots, with an adorable cat tail! She also stared in JoanovArc’s new official video-single. And even features in pride of place on the CD cover.

Blood Of The Sun and Lucifer live in London 2018

Lowen created a slow, deep and mystical doom folk metal meld. Nina’s long wavy hair, combined with her medieval style dress created a beautiful elven look. The second half of the set picked up the pace with a more rocky edge. Starting with the electric guitar taking the forefront, then the drums crash in for a fast and heavy solo. Nina joins last, with mystical yet almost Sci-fi esque wailing vocals.

Fresh off his G3 European and UK tour with Joe Satriani and John Petrucci, former Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth is widely regarded as one of the greatest guitar players ever.

He is one of the last greats who is still around to present his magical style of playing which he already forged in the late Sixties when he was still in his teens. Uli played his first ever show in December 1968 - at the age of 13 - and to celebrate his upcoming 50th Stage Anniversary, he will play 6 very special UK concerts.
