Pamela Moore is best known to the metal crowd as Sister Mary due to her involvement in Queensryche’s monumental concept album “Operation: Mindcrime”, as the eponymous character. Since, but also before that she has a rather unspectacular solo career and did some guest performances.

Lee Aaron - Diamond Baby Blues

Canadian Rock Goddess Lee Aaron, apparently decided to reconnect with her “rock” roots, a few years ago, after a performance at Sweden Rock Fest, which culminated in the release of a rock album, instead of the jazz fare of the 90s that gave way to her 80s “rock” output.

Magnum - Lost on the Road to Eternity

Magnum are a British Rock Institution and one of the few British bands with such a long and almost uninterrupted runs (bar a five year hiatus during which the 2 primary people involved still worked together in the Hard Rain project anyway, which also was the debut for current bassist Al Barrow).

Kal-El signs to Argonauta and announces new studio album “Astrodoomeda”

Kal-El is the fuzzed-out step-child of hard rock and heavy metal, often with hints of psychedelic and blues rock as well as doom metal. Songs typically feature a bass-heavy groove, detuned guitars and mind-expanding lyrics.

Formed in Norway back in 2012 by members from Theatre Of Tragedy, Six Eyes Lost and Desspo, they started rehearsing for the debut record shortly after that, growing up not just as a band, but as a little family as they found themselves around Norway on different gigs and venues.

The Ghost Next Door to release self-titled debut on June 19th 2015

US alternative metallers The Ghost Next Door, hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, will release their self-titled debut album on June 19th, 2015 via Mausoleum Records.

The Ghost Next Door emerged from a desire to marry the dark melancholy of 80s and 90s alternative with the aggression and drive of Bay Area metal.

State Of Salazar is a newcomer from Sweden which was formed in 2010. During a 4-year period they managed to release an EP, “Lost My Way” in 2012, sign a contract with Frontiers records after a while and finally release their debut in 2014. Putting out your debut release through one of the major AOR/melodic rock labels ain’t a minor thing and it requires talent and skills to do so. Fortunately, State of Lazar have ‘em both…

Shy - Unfinished Business

I was really thrilled when I listened to “Unfinished Business” for the first time back in 2002 and writing a review was the least I could do for this magnificent album. Of course, I made a mistake back then… I should have rated the album with half a point more but I wanted time to tell whether my judgment was right or if I was just overexcited because I hadn’t heard from the band for over ten years plus, they had been and still are one of my beloved hard rock bands.
