Oslo Ess will release their new album ”Verden På Nakken, Venner I Ryggen” on September 7th in Europe and September 14th in Germany and Austria. Today they let you have a sneak peek to the album artwork.
"The picture on the cover is a mixture of the guys in the band and is based on the title “Verden På Nakken, Venner I Ryggen”.
The title can be translated to something like “the world on your shoulders, friends got your back”.
When you hold this record in your hands you become a friend of ours and we will have your back. In contrast to the first album which was completely blue, we went for a lovely yellow color that reflects the rebellion of punk, our life-affirming lyrics and our summerly musical universe." - Oslo Ess

Oslo Ess’ critically acclaimed debut album “Uleste Bøker og Utgåtte Sko” was nominated for best rock album at Spellemannprisen 2011 (Norwegian Grammy). The first single “Caroline” from the new album “Verden På Nakken, Venner I Ryggen” has been played constantly on Norwegian national radio for six months already and is a taste of what’s to come from Oslo Ess this year. The band shows greater width on the upcoming album, but continues the recognizable, life-affirming and energetic asphalt punk.
Don’t miss out on the Oslo Ess release show October 6th at Rockefeller in Oslo. Get your tickets here!
