North Of South The Dogma and The Outsider ΕΠ ψοωερ
Progressive/Latin/Fusion project North Οf South are proud to announce that “The Dogma and The Outsider” will be out on October 25th, 2019, via Wormholedeath/Goodfellas.

This new EP of 32 minutes in length will double down on debut album “New Latitudes” formula, taking every element one step further: more heaviness, more melody, more sophistication and, for sure, more Hispanic sounds. North Of South’s brand new release includes six new original tracks and two metallized cover versions of pop stars Sting and Björk, which show a unique approach to mainstream universe from the darkest and hardest side of music. The raw and energetic revision of the ex The Police classic “Englishman in New York” features the third special guest appearance in “The Dogma and The Outsider” EP: Zuberoa Aznárez, female singer of Symphonic Metal band Diabulus Ιn Musica.

Following the path opened by the previous album, this new compositions of Chechu Nos’ music project have been recorded at Zoilo Unreal’s studios (Marín, Spain), a consolidated name on the Spanish extreme metal scene, involved in bands like Unreal Overflows, The Anthagonist and Unhuman Nature.

Israeli Kobi Farhi (Orphaned Land) is featured in their first single, “Ember Remains”, a total “tour de force” that displays North Of South’s wide collection of Hispanic, Melodic and Extreme Metal influences, combining them with the oriental flavour of Farhi’s incendiary performance.

This new song comes with the support of an elegant and colourful lyric video by British Andy Pilkington, with whom North Οf South already worked in their first album and who has made productions for renowned artists and bands like Saxon, Rotting Christ, Flotsam & Jetsam, Dee Snider and Gus G.”.

The 2nd single, “We Refused τo Hear Them (It’s Our Song)” emphasizes the collective soul of Chechu Nos’ individual project featuring one of the most impressive voices of the metal scene: Anna Murphy, worldwide acclaimed for her past work in Eluveitie and her current band, Cellar Darling.

Chechu Nos stated: “North of South is a many-sided entity. And now it was time to ‘step on the gas’. In any case, together with its uptempo vibe, "We Refused to Hear Them (It’s Our Song)" reunites many of the recognizable elements in my music, like melodic heavy guitars, a colorful mix of clean and scream vocals, some piano presence, dynamic rhythm changes and a deliberate focus on Fusion Metal. Additionally, Anna’s performance is simply flawless and magical”.
