Washington riff rockers, Mos Generator, will release their new full-length, “Abyssinia”, on July 15th, 2016 in Europe and August 5th, 2016 in North America.
In advance of its release, today Decibel Magazine premieres the first single from “Abyssinia” in the form of “Wicked Willow”.
Issue Mos Generator guitarist/vocalist Tony Reed of the track: “"Wicked Willow" shows us consciously moving into new territory. As a songwriter, I have become less concerned with the confines of the genre I write in and more willing to open the floodgates for all of my influences to make their way into the core sound of the band. That makes some songs, like "Wicked Willow", hard to define. Heavy pop in B tuning with a self-loathing gothic tinge to the lyrics may or may not be the best way to describe it. We will see what the listeners have to say”.

Mos Generator formed during the Winter of 2000 in Port Orchard, Washington from the ashes of a decade-long on-again-off-again collaboration between its three members, all of which are long time veterans of the road and studio. The need to strip down to the basics of hard rock was apparent from the start and continues to be the foundation for the band’s recent material. Mos Generator has released six studio albums, a retrospective album, a live album and a plethora of split 7" and 12" singles.
