Our Dark Prince is finally back for good!!!! Not that he ever left us, but this time he is back to his 70s days, presenting his best album since “Welcome to My Nightmare” (well, let’s make an exception and say after “Trash”). I still remember Alice’s first gig I ever attended back in 1989 – a small kid without really knowing what a legend I had in front of my eyes. It’s no need to write about the unique contribution of this artist to theatrical rock. I can only say that I never expected from him to release such an album in 2003. Full of energy, power, a vagabond sense present throughout the CD.

This time his experiments with sounds strange to him are over. We are talking about pure rock, or hard rock if you want it. Rakish, dirty, heavy, paranoid at times. I cannot separate a weak song among the 13 diamonds of the album. What can I say? “Man of the Year” and “Spirits Rebellious” makes you wanna headbang like crazy, the party spirit of “Love Should Never Feel Like This” and “Novocaine” carry you away, “This House is Haunted” sounds as if it “escaped” from the monumental “Welcome to My Nightmare”... no, it is unjust to not mention all the songs!

Those who are familiar to Alice’s latter works might be a bit estranged, but they will definitely like the album. As for us who know by heart albums like “Billion Dollar…”, “School’s Out” and “Killer”, we are already leading the dance!!!!
