Primitai to host Album Release Show at the Camden Underworld on September 25th 2021

Primitai Album Release Show 2021 - Camden Underworld
Primitai are putting on a special night to celebrate the release of their acclaimed new album “Violence of the Skies”, which sees them push their heavy metal roots to the boundary with power and progressive metal.

The band spent 2020 writing and recording the album and signing a new deal with ROAR Rock of Angels Records, and have marked their 2021 live return with two sets at Bloodstock Festival and this special headline show at the legendary Camden Underworld. Expect an epic setlist showcasing the new material and plenty of fan favourites too. Please note 6PM Doors and 10PM Curfew.

The Underworld show will also feature the following special guests: Death Valley Knights - powerful heavy metal, as seen at Hard Rock HEll and Stone Free festivals, Spyder Byte - Kent rockers heavily influenced by the bands of the late 1980s sunset strip movement, Star Circus - Camden legend Dave Winkler’s new project - a mix of hard rock and power pop with some of the best musicians on the London scene.

Primitai are a London based melodic heavy metal band walking the very thin line between old school heavy metal combined with a modern production. Their style is best described as cutting edge but with a retro flavour. In 2020 the band signed a new deal with ROAR Rock of Angels Records and spent the lockdown writing and recording their new album “Violence of the Skies”, which was released in March 2021. This album sees the band push their classic metal sound to the boundary with power and progressive metal in a similar way that Queensryche and Savatage did upon taking the Maiden/Priest template, guest appearances from Paul Quinn (Saxon) & Tom Draper (ex-Primitai, Carcass), art by Stan W Decker (Megadeth, Dragonforce), and mastering by multi Grammy winning engineer Alan Douches (Motorhead), amongst many other interesting collaborations.

Primitai’s breakthrough came in 2010 upon release of their album “The Line of Fire”, which lead to UK tours and festivals including Bloodstock, Hard Rock Hell”, Hammerfest, High Voltage and Wacken Cruise. Their 2013 album “Rise Again, mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordstrom and featuring a guest appearance from Ritchie Faulkner (Judas Priest), pushed them higher to dates with Sepultura and Saxon, and praise from the biggest rock publications. In 2015 the band went into studio to make Night Brings Insanity with production handled by Lasse Lammert (Alestorm, Gloryhammer). The album was released in 2016, propelling them to headline shows across the UK, and slots with bands as diverse as Hell, Sodom and Crazy Lixx. The band upped the momentum with their 2018 album “The Calling”, produced once again by Lasse Lammert and with artwork by Claudio Bergamin (Judas priest, Battle Beast). This lead to their most extensive UK touring including a run with Wolf, and debuts in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Serbia and Croatia. Primitai consistently landed on lineups with bands such as heavy metal legends Riot, Satan, Edguy, Death Angel, Firewind, Grand Magus, as well as scene leaders like Cauldron, Bullet and Burning Witches. The band is proud to look back at some brushes with the gods themselves - guest appearances from members of Judas Priest and Saxon, and even recording sessions at Steve Harris’ studios.
