Obsidian Tide

Hi Oz, and welcome to Grande Rock. First of all do give us a brief bio of the band.

O: It was in Spring 2012 when I formed the band. We are a trio; I am in charge of guitars and clean vocals. On bass and harsh vocals is Shachar Bieber and on drums and programming is Erez Nadler. We released a debut EP named “Debris” back in 2015 (which actually has a concept to it) and since then, we worked on our full length album “Pillars of Creation”, which we released this last August 29th.

Obsidian Tide - Pillars of Creation

Obsidian Tide is a trio from Israel. Hmm… Israel, not exactly a hot bed for heavy metal, although many Jewish rockers have found fame and even fortune Stateside, but when it comes to the actual number of bands coming out of Israel, it doesn’t even begin to compare with other places. Yet, the thing is that a great number of Israeli bands are actually very good. Maybe the scarcity doesn’t allow the existence of as many duds as in other “scenes”.

Rivers of Nihil - The Conscious Seed of Light on October 15th 2013

Pennsylvania’s Rivers of Nihil have completed work on their debut full length album, “The Conscious Seed of Light”. The album was recorded in March of 2013 at Mana Recording Studios in Florida with famed metal producer/musician Erik Rutan. Guitarist Brody Uttley said: “Working with Erik was a true privilege. Coming from the DIY circuit and immediately recording with one of greatest death metal producers of all time pushed us all more than we ever could have expected, both as musicians and as people. We have grown tremendously as a band in all aspects because of our experience with Erik”.

The Advent Equation

Hi guys… You truly took me by storm with your debut album. You’ve been added in Grande Rock’s “Gem” category! Congrats…

D: Well, thanks a lot, we worked hard on it, so it’s great to hear good things about it.

Please give us a band bio in brief for people to get to know you better.

The Advent Equation - Limitless Life Reflections

Were I to guess which country this band is coming from, arbitrating by its music style I would probably choose Europe and specifically Scandinavia. I was rather surprised when I found out that The Advent Equation are hailing from Mexico. They have been around since 2008 but they only released an EP on the same year, entitled “Sounds from Within”. Having worked more on their style and especially on combining various things from the music genres they love the most, the time has finally come to present their debut album worldwide.
