Usurpress to release new studio album “Interregnum” on February 23rd 2018

Friday, 23rd of February, 2018, will witness the release of “Interregnum”, the 4th album and follow up to the ambitious concept suite “The Regal Tribe” (2016), by Swedish self proclaimed “primitive and progressive” death metallers Usurpress.

The album will be available via Agonia Records. Listen to the first single “In Books Without Pages” below.

Melbourne (Australia) Death Metallers Sewercide will release debut album “Immortalized in Suffering” on June 13th, 2016, through Unspeakable Axe Records .

The album will also be available through international distribution outlets on August 19th.

Cyclocosmia is a UK based duo comprised of London born James Scott, who acts as “the band”/producer etc., indeed as a multi-instrumentalist that he is and Lorena Franceschini, a Caracas born, Venezuelan singer and also entertainment lawyer. The whole “band” started as a project of James, some six years ago or so and he was joined by Lorena a couple of years ago, when she moved to London. The overall style is a thickly produced, doomy sounding somewhat symphonic metal with some male growls and Lorena’s clean singing over, the simple but rather effective arrangements. She thankfully doesn’t launch into endless operatic nonsense and she seems to know what she’s doing…

Revenience - Daedalum

Having been formed a couple of years ago, Revenience, a newcomer form Italy, releases their debut album titled “Daedalum”. So what’s this new band all about? Revenience is a female-fronted metal act playing an amalgam of metal, symphonic, extreme, melodic and gothic music – all that under a modern veil. At times they reminded me of Amaranthe but without being so intense of powerful. A mix of Amaranthe, Delain, Lacuna Coil, Evanescence & Within Tempatation would be fairer but without ever reaching the levels of those acts.
 

Woslom reveals the tracklist & the cover artwork of their upcoming album “A Near Life Experience”

The anticipated new album of Woslom, third of their career, already has a name and face! The quartet has just presented the album title and cover art.

The disc is titled “A Near Life Experience” and the cover was made by Guatemalan artist Mario Lopez, which drew the attention of Brazilians by his very organic style based more on hand drawings and less digital art.

Usurpress sign with Agonia Records

Doom/crust/prog-infused death metallers Usurpress have signed a deal with Agonia Records. The quartet from Uppsala, Sweden recorded their 3rd album, entitled “The Regal Tribe”, during the fall of 2015 under supervision of rising star producer Lawrence Mackrory (FKÜ, Darkane). Its release date has been slated for 2016.
