Seriously if you’re as unimaginative as I suspect you might be, why didn’t you call the band the Airon Mayden or Blaque Sabath? Silly name choice aside, Sanktuary are a “power-thrash” band from the Yukon, territory of Canada. Or so they say. I hear repetitive simple riffs that might be “heavy” in nature, but are pretty generic and rather boring and even if someone overlooks that, the singer sounds as if he sung the vocals in a totally different room from where the microphone was in or with some obstacle blocking his access to it, his voice is nothing to write home about, sounding like a generic variant of Cronos, but a lot lamer.

For a sophomore album… if this was a demo, I’d be happy to be lenient, but seriously if this is a release, it simply doesn’t cut the mustard and name dropping, half of the Canadian thrash scene plus some bands from outside Canada, will simply not cut it. The most interesting aspect is in some of the riffs, but the style is so primal, unrefined and simple that can’t really keep interest high. Obviously for some people this might just be “bread n butter” but I don’t belong to that category, for better or worse.
