It’s a fact that things are changing in the music industry. They may change little by little but they do change. What do I mean by that? Well, see what Royal Bliss did. They decided to do things their way and take the whole control of their music. They resorted to their fans. They used a funding platform like Kickstarter to finance the release of their new album. They reached the goal they set and they did even better than that. That’s what I call loyal and dedicated fans; the ones who truly support the band.

So, without any pressure from any label or manager the guys started recording the new album in their hometown of Salt Lake City along with their old pal Matt Winegar (Primus, Slider, Day Two, Simple Plan etc.). The result was “Chasing the Sun” which was released by the band’s own label Air Castle Records and distributed through Universal.

Musically, “Chasing the Sun” is a rockin’ album with the usual doses of alternative, post-grunge, modern, hard rock, melodic & atmospheric elements. The guys are more motivated and independent than before and that’s evident on the album as well which features 3 anthems, which are among the top tracks they have written so far… the catchy rocker “Cry Sister”, the magnificently sentimental “Dreamer” and the heavy moody & expressive “Drink My Stupid Away”. Neal Middleton’s performances are overwhelming but the same goes for all of the guys. The production is grand and honestly I couldn’t expect anything less.

After 17 years of existence and having already been successful… Royal Bliss have nothing to prove or worry about. They do things their way and that lack of restrictions has worked for their own benefit. This album will not only gratify the band’s loyal fans but it will also bring new ones on board. Royal Bliss seem to be having the optimum & most easygoing years of their career.
