Deftones - Gore

In the homogenized world we live in, Deftones have been highly praised for their ambiguity and armed with that they have since their inception in the 80s traveled through a variety of different soundscapes and styles… currently they sound to my ears like mix between latter day U2 and Radiohead, with pretty monotonous riffing and a sort of dreamy but heavy atmosphere. Largely jam based, it will please the bands fans while leave everyone else probably completely cold.
 
Deftones are probably past their sell by date, unable to equal their earlier works surely and by now their one trick – musical “white pony” is showing signs of tiredness.
