Buckinghamshire modern metal sextet As Everything Unfolds are poised to return with their brand new EP, “Closure”, which will be released on October 19th, 2018.
After racking up in excess of 55,000 YouTube views for the previously-released video single “17:10” (the EP's opening fanfare), the band are proud return with another video single, this time in the form of their insanely catchy, sing-along track “Despondency”!

On the nature of their single “Despondency”, frontwoman Charlie also offers the following:
“People feel despondent all the time without necessarily being aware of what that feeling really is. The single "Despondency" captures the frustrations felt for someone who pushes this feeling on you, drawing you back and tying you down when all you want is to push forward.
Imagine wanting something so very badly, and the intense pain and anger felt towards a person whose actions block your path, leaving you feeling helpless and trapped. These people might one day gain your forgiveness, but you’ll never forget what they did... or let them bring you down again.
As much as I wrote this song as a testament of my own feelings, I hope people to relate to it as well. When people listen to this song, I want them to know that they’re not alone, no matter how different their situation may be from the next person”.
Hailing from a town once referred to as “famous for chair-making and pub violence”, High Wycombe heroes As Everything Unfolds know that bigger is better. With their upcoming EP release “Closure”, the six-piece have expanded upon their melodic values, whilst simultaneously refining their sound even further in the wake of 2017’s “Collide”.
As Charlie explains: “Overall, the EP has a lot of pent up hatred and anger. This was my closing chapter on holding onto those feelings, I’m done feeling emotions for people who no longer feel them for me, it’s time to focus on other things and "Closure" is the perfect ending chapter”.
As Everything Unfolds will be heading out on the road, touring with long-time friends TheCityIsOurs.

“We're super excited to go on tour with TheCityIsOurs. They're a band we've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with and growing up alongside since the very beginning. Some of our best memories as a band have been at shows we've played with TheCityIsOurs and we're hoping that this tour will be full of just as many great memories and amazing shows as we've become accustomed to. There isn't a band out there who works nearly as hard as these boys do and it's a privilege to be able to head out on the road with them, not just as a band but as good friends”.

Formed in Buckinghamshire in 2013, As Everything Unfolds’ first incarnation featured a fusion sound of Pop Punk and Nu-metal, attempting to fuse catchy fast paced choruses with more downtuned groovy passages. The departure of then-vocalist Alex Meredith paved way for an exciting change of direction, especially with the arrival of Charlie Rolfe. The band’s EP “Jekyll and Hyde” was then recorded and released in 2014, with the next two years spent refining the band’s new sound and exploring the potential artistic flourishes their new vocalist could offer.
Charlie’s screamed vocal aggression saw the band’s early hints of a heavier sound become more prominent, and further lineup changes added more tweaks and development to the band’s sound and style, culminating finally in the release of the “Collide” EP and following single “Centuries”.
The band have continued to build on this sound with the new singles “17:10”, “Despondency” and the upcoming EP “Closure”. During this period, Jamie Gowers joined the fold as the band’s new drummer, bringing with him fresh energy and new ideas to build upon.
With a focus on blending melody and groove, As Everything Unfolds aim to fuse crushing riffs, intricate synths and soaring vocals to create a fresh twist on a tried and tested formula. This matched with their high intensity live performance creates an unforgettable experience that aims to keep audiences guessing.
