In early 2015 Rob Hallett, former AEG LIive Vice President of Touring announced his new disruptive business venture at the helm of his 360 company Robomagic.
Having worked with some of the biggest artists in the world as well as being behind some of the highest grossing tours of the decade; including Leonard Cohen, The Rolling Stones, Usher, Prince, Duran Duran, Beyonce, Justin Bieber Jennifer Lopez and Bon Jovi. Add to this a hugely impressive background in band management and it is apparent that he has clarity in how the live scene links in with artist development to drive music sales.
As well as Robomagic producing some of the largest tours available globally, Rob Hallett wanted his new company to be in the forefront of supporting fresh young talent that he could develop, nurture and invest in, acting as a mentor as well as giving artists backing from a label and promotional company.
It is therefore a natural step for him to release music and that is exactly what is about to happen as Robomagic prepare to launch the hotly tipped London female urban punk duo, Nova Twins. Rob Hallett has been a fundamental figure in developing the girls since discovering them. The girls have been likened to Slaves, Royal Blood and Deap Vally.
The driving guitar riffs, killer bass lines and edgy lyrics, created by Amy Love and Georgia South have been dubbed ‘Urban Punk’. The genre defying sound and attitude of Nova Twins is therefore a perfect fit for Hallett, who announced the launch of the all - encompassing music company Robomagic as a ‘new disruptive business model on the existing landscape of the traditional music industry’.
The first single to be released from the Nova Twins is “Bassline B*tch” and you can watch the brand new video below.
Rob Hallett, CEO on the Nova Twins:
“When the Nova Twins arrived in all their snarling glory on my Facebook page I thought to myself, this I have to see. Combining my love of punk rock, hip hop and live music, The Nova Twins are the true independent women of their generation and they can play!!”
Nova Twins are all set to explode into the wider music scene. They have been recording with Pat Collier, (The Jesus and Mary Chain, X-Ray Spex, Primal Scream, Jakwob), and Adrian Hall (Goldfrapp, Du Blonde, Anna Calvi, Alicia Keys) has been mixing their music.
“We instantly feel at home with Rob and the Robomagic team, it’s great to be a part of a unit that genuinely have the artists best interest at heart – we are really excited for the future – watch this space!” - Nova Twins
