Heave Blood & Die are a group from Tromsø, Norway, the far northern reaches of Europe - a land under the aurora borealis, with midnight sun and never-ending winters.
The group’s early memories and close affinity to nature have informed their worldview - a staunchly environmentalist, progressive outlook which runs deeply throughout “Post People”. We are standing on the verge of a junction with two options: ruin, or the chance of redemption. In the words of the band: “The have had is more dangerous than the never had. A new dawn is rising, and the possible outcome is terrifying”.
Heave Blood & Die’s anti-capitalist ethos is leading them toward their most expressive album yet - a fine combination of experimental rock, post-metal, post-punk and raw expression. Elements of Jesu, Solstafir, Årabrot and Killing Joke meld together to create a truly satisfying assertion of self. Fiercely proud and opinionated, the group stand for a better future, one which we can all hope for.
Heave Blood & Die have already caught the attention of many in their home country, and have played at Roskilde Festival and Tons of Rock, among others. “Post People” is mixed by Graham Walsh (Holy F*ck, METZ, Viet Cong) and mastered by Paul Gold (Angel Olsen, Preoccupations, Beach House).
