It’s to wonder how in a “destroyed economy’ and in a time-period when the music sales (both digital and physical) have taken the downside, there are so many music labels, music managements, PR labels, bands/artists and of course releases around. In a way, it can be described as “irrational” since the economic model of “supply-demand” is way too indifferent when it comes to actual numbers. Then again, you cannot stop the musicians from creating music, cuz this is the way they express themselves and it cannot be undone. On the other hand, the music labels are there to offer those music works to the audience… and the audience is not interested in buying the actual stuff that much, as it used to do a couple of decades ago. They are more interested in downloading (either by paying or not) or streaming the music works. I come from an era when people used to buy albums every week or so and the way the new generation acts is very strange to me when it comes to music. Nonetheless, people still attend live shows, so this is something that still works and benefits all – the bands, the labels and the audience.
Hence, even though the album sales have decreased dramatically, it’s the gigs that keep the music industry strong and going more than anything else these days. Will that change in the next years? Well, probably not that easily, but it will sooner or later. The vinyl “comeback” was fine in a way but it didn’t make any “revolution” as some may have fantasized.
This “music matter” can never come to an end, but we will be here to observe all the new things that have to do with music, how they affect the music industry and in which ways…
PS1: We’ve been accused of having no “credibility”, cuz we post Models on the site… I guess if we start posting trolls, orks or filthy creatures we will gain more “credibility”, cuz we’ll be “wicked” & “harsh” in a way?! It’s funny to see what people come up with when they cannot handle a different opinion about their work and they think they are “the king of their castle”… keep it up guys!
PS2: The Model Spotlight for this month is the hot & sexy Samantha Mathias. Check out her interview and pics here.
PS3: A few weeks ago, Chuck Berry, one of the godfathers of rock & roll music passed away. Chuck was 90 years old and had a life fully lived. We all are more than thankful for his contribution to our beloved Rock music. Thank you for the music Chuck… Rest In Peace…
