Music business has survived better than any other business (I leave aside the pharmacy biz and stuff). And even though there are no live shows that take place– I’ve seen that some bands have already started working on dates starting from this April and after. Apart from the concerts, the music recordings and the releases have not stopped at all… on the contrary, they are even more than before, cuz artists and bands are working on new music each & every day and they either release it as singles, as EPs of as full-length albums no matter what. Either way you see it there’s a new music ocean out here waiting to be discovered by every music fan regardless of the place they live. Can you deal with it…? And if yes, just start searching out of the ordinary. For instance, I’ve come across some amazing independent bands this time, which I wouldn’t in other cases for various reasons.
Music is everywhere around us…it is every step that we take every day... it’s up to us to make our music moments worthy and notable like we used to do before the pandemic… and even better now. And do not forget that the whole “music show” has just begun!
PS1: Spring is here and may it bring us light and joy and help us come back stronger and healthier than before…
PS2: This month’s editorial is dedicated to the bassist & guitarist Jim Selalmazidis (Sarissa, Thraz), who suddenly passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 53. Jim was a major part of the Hellenic Metal Scene. Thank you for giving your heart and soul, so as to make the Hellenic Metal Scene bigger and respectful all over the world. Rest In Peace…
