Following their latest magnum opus, “Oscillation” (2019), Swedish post-rock masters Oh Hiroshima have returned with their fourth studio album, “Myriad”, slated for release on March 4th, 2022, via Napalm Records. Due to pandemic lockdowns, the band channeled all of their time and creativity into delivering an epic successor, unquestionably raising the bar and excelling with grandeur!

In all honesty, I was not a big fan of Opeth when they were playing death metal, since I thought other bands were doing a much better job at it, but when they started going soft, circa “Still Life”, I thought they were losing every ounce of credibility. They inadvertently abandoned their extreme style for a more mature, so called progressive style, just a little bit into the millennium and released a bunch of watered down albums that gained them a wider appeal, as they became more and more accessible.

After Swedish post-rockers Oh Hiroshima have just recently unleashed the hotly anticipated details for their upcomimg, third studio album titled “Oscillation”, today we get to hear another beautiful anthem with the track “Moderate Spectre”.

Of what blossoms into the band’s most epic record to date, “Oscillation” impresses with abstract guitar work, dreamlike vocals as well as a hint of Electronica.

Bjorn Riis’ name might not mean a lot on its own, but some context is given if you mention that he’s the mastermind and guitarist of Norweigian progsters Airbag, a band that has manage to mirror Pink Floyd, to perfection without really aping them. Seemingly not content with only being a member of Airbag, he’s also got a solo career on the side and “A Storm is Coming” marks his fourth personal outing.
