They are a band known for crossing borders, overstepping genre taboos and keeping the (metal) world in suspense. Today, French avantgarde black metallers Celeste take their immersive experience one step closer to the edge: January 28th, 2022, will see the release of the band’s new LP “Assassine(s)”, produced by Chris Edrich (Gojira, Tesseract, The Ocean, Leprous) - a long awaited follow-up to 2017’s “Infidèle(s)”.

There is a red light at the end of the tunnel in this concert deprived time. Having always been an immersive and sensory experience, the shows of French avant-garde black metallers Celeste will be taken to the next level on their upcoming European tour throughout March and April 2022, set to include a UK date at London venue The Dome on March 10th.

Venerable Black Metal trailblazers Wolves In The Throne Room have announced that their upcoming European tour will now be postponed until Fall 2022.

The Washington-based trio released their new album, “Primordial Arcana”, on August 20th of this year, via Century Media Records.

In a statement addressing the postponement of their European trek to next year, the band shares:

Texas-based “mythological occult metal” act Proscriptor McGovern’s Apsû, which constitutes a new incarnation and direct continuation of Absu’s legacy, will release its self-titled debut album on November 26th, 2021, via Agonia Records.

Coming off their critically praised sophomore album, “Emerald Seas”, Seven Spires are set to return with their third, and by far, most ambitious album to date, “Gods of Debauchery” on September 10th, 2021.  

Blackened Melodic Death Metal veterans Withering Soul have announced the September 24th, 2021, release of new album “Last Contact” via Mortal Music.

The band’s album release show with Morta Skuld occurs the same evening at The Cobra Lounge in Chicago. More info here.

A flickering red light glows in the darkness evoking images of a spooky lighthouse in the roaring sea - quite a suitable comparison for avant-garde black metal outlet Celeste, who continue their rise as one of the most promising extreme metal acts with their latest move.

Two decades into their journey as ritualistic black metal conjurers, Wolves In The Throne Room have emerged from the forest with “Primordial Arcana”, their most majestic album to date, and their first release via Century Media Records (outside of USA and Canada) and Relapse Records (USA and Canada) out on August 20th, 2021.

The infamous Mayhem return with the “Atavistic Black Disorder / Kommando” EP (July 9th, Century Media Records) featuring additional material from the “Daemon” sessions, including three original tracks, as well as covers of classic punk tracks from Discharge, Dead Kennedys, Rudimentary Peni and the Ramones.

French post black metallers Decline Of The I are set to release a new album entitled “Johannes” on March 26th, 2021, via Agonia Records.
