We're back online again...

Grande Rock - Respect The Rock!Grande Rock is finally back on track… and it feels so good to be back online after so much time… although things have totally changed since the last time we were online, we haven’t lost that lovin’ and inspiring feeling about our beloved rock/metal music. Our effort this time was to better as well as upgrade the looks and use of our old site…

As you have already seen till now, Grande Rock has a brand new layout that is more user-friendly and interactive according to the new Web 2.0 terms. We tried to make it that way so that we can make you, as well, a part of Grande Rock… as you used to be before but this time you will also be able to tell us your opinion, write down reviews, agree or disagree with our articles, always easily and in a civilized way and finally make Grande Rock “your place”, when it comes to your information, a place where you will always be free to share your thoughts with the whole community without any censorship or strict terms and severe behaviors that other sites may have… here on Grande Rock… everything will be free & open for anyone, as long as they are civilized and well-mannered… after all, that is what makes us humane… and rock/metal fans… in the very end… ‘cause believe me, this music has the best and the most sensible, loyal and good-hearted fans all over the world…

We will try to review as many albums as we can every month, and we will be more than happy if you wanna contribute to that effort… to cover a very big piece of the music cake every month… you can always contact us at the site’s e-mail address or even by writing something here on the comments below… we will also try to have some good and interesting interviews like the way we used to have… on Grande Rock version 1… not only for the sake of the interview but for going deeper into some music problems, some music goods and in order to see how the bands-musicians think about the music things and not only, in  our age and time…

As far as the live shows are concerned… it’s kind of difficult to cover and review all those shows that take place every month or so… thus it will be great if you’re a fan, band, musician and you think that a live show needs to be reviewed or you have recently seen a very good band live on stage and you wanna tell people about it… send your review & photos over to us and we will definitely post it here on Grande Rock…

As I have told thousand times before and those who keep pace with Grande Rock - all those years- surely know it, it’s the music that matters the most, therefore we must do our best to support it the best way we can… every single one of us…there are not good or bad people, fans, editors, bands, musicians when it comes to music… there are people, fans, editors, bands, musicians that truly love music… and people, fans, editors, bands, musicians that just don’t, and they simply try to make a livin’ out of it… taking advantage those who actually love it so much… We have never sold our souls and our beloved music for some bucks and we never supported any band/musician that we, in fact,  didn’t like… but do not forget that this is only our point of view for some important or not facts in music and for some new or old releases that we may review from time to time…

P.S.1: The Grande Rock team would like to say “goodbye” to those musicians that beyond any doubt “marked” our beloved music and taught the new ones how music should be made when there’s magic and inspiration on it… the great Ronnie James Dio, that short guy with the “big voice” who will always be a “Star”… to Gary Moore that enormous guitarist/songwriter/singer who offered so much in our music and taught how the guitar should be played… to “the drums of doom” Scott Columbus, to the exceptional vocalist Steve Lee and to the mastermind/guitarist Steve Harris from Shy (sadly he passed away at the end of October)… Our music is poorer without those music geniuses… and “Big Heaven’s Band” has again taken two imposing personalities and musicians on its roster…

P.S.2: We like the idea that now you can easily respond to our articles/reviews/interviews and write your own personal opinion… that’s the actual meaning of how an interactive e-zine should work… hope that you will like it too. We will do our best to “move” all the old stuff here on the new Grande Rock site, in the next time… so be patience.

P.S.3: The idea of having this “Editorial Page” is to talk about the important things that happened globally in music and not only… so feel free to open your own topic and to give us your thoughts about the facts that we comment here… it’s so great to have a discussion about several things around the world whether they are musical or not and to hear/read several opinions from all over the world… as a result, I’ll try my best to be here with a new topic as soon as I can…

P.S.4: It’s been almost 10 years since Grande Rock is online supporting rock/metal music… So 10 years ago some (90 per cent of the current e-zines which allegedly “care” for rock/metal music weren’t just a thought back then) considered this “a thought on a crazy mind”… since things had been pretty harsh in terms of money and there were not many people to support the underground scene on the web… Grande Rock was proven right… many people are supporting the scene, these days, with the “proper amount of money”... swell!

P.S.5: You will find some old reviews… written in previous years when we were trying to find a way to get back online… we never stopped supporting the scene… no matter what… and two old but very interesting interviews… especially the one from Martin Orford… where he decided back then to call it quits. We are working daily to write some new reviews and interviews just for your information. We designed the new site in such a way so that you can easily be informed about our updates in the Facebook page and on Twitter as well. The “Best of Month” section will be online after the New Year… it’s obvious why… we had in mind to go online in January but we did our best to be up earlier… and we made it! Enjoy!
