Lately Grande Rock faced some very crucial issues with the web-hosting servers and the database. Unfortunately, that caused several major problems that resulted in having our site down for more than 40 hours (in a row!) and numerous downtimes. Moreover, our database, after the major 40-hour downtime, wasn’t the latest one since it was destroyed and the site went one week back! Our previous, web-hosting provider told us that they could not do anything since everything was ruined and we had to put all the lost data back on our own! We are talking about a bunch of unprofessional guys that have formed a label and say they provide internet services! Stay away from that company. I won’t refer to the web company’s name so as not to make any kind of advertisement. After all these problems, we acted rapidly, we changed our servers and we moved to a new web-hosting provider. Everything seems to be working wonderfully up to now and let’s wish it stays that way. Now the site is up and running in a better way and faster than before!
One more major issue is the new GR layout! The whole thing started several months ago, as an idea, by Delos, the other GR Admin (yeap, GR has 2 Admins!), and ended up in what you see right now! The new GR layout has a more contemporary design & it’s more user-friendly. Hope you dig it as much as we do! This is GR version 3 or GRv3.
PS: We have some specific and non-negotiable principles when it comes to music and music quality. We won’t sweeten the pill if some PR or music labels believe they have the Papal infallibility.
PS2: It’s true that the last months of 2013 have some of the year’s finest releases. I’m eager to see what’s next. September 2013 was, unquestionably a prog month!
PS3: This month’s editorial is dedicated to the legendary J.J. Cale who penned songs like “Cocaine”, “After Midnight”, “Call Me the Breeze” & “Magnolia” among others. May he Rest in Peace…
