Gost, the “dark synthwave frontrunner” (Kerrang!), has set an August 13th, 2021, release date for his new album, “Rites of Love and Reverence”, via Century Media Records.

“I have recently been fixated on the subject of witchcraft and its effect on women throughout history”, explains Gost. “I myself practice rituals to help clear my mind and focus on my day to day endeavors. This curiosity into witchcraft’s history and my own traditions combined to inspire the new album”.

Xiu Xiu to release new studio album “OH NO” on March 26th 2021

Xiu Xiu return with their 12th studio album, “OH NO”, a collection of duets out March 26th, 2021, via Polyvinyl. To herald the announcement, the two-piece shares the lead single “A Bottle of Rum”, featuring Liz Harris with an exciting new video directed by band member Angela Seo. Previously, Harris and the band collaborated on “Creepshow” (2007).

Worcester, Massachusetts-based avant electronics project The Oracle will release its debut full-length debut “Hypogeum” this August, via Repose Records.
 
Inspired at once by the grandiosity of film scores and classical music, the bleakness of black metal, and minimalist ambient music, “Hypogeum” is dark and at times ritualistic with its themes and complimentary visuals touching upon the rise and fall of messiah-like figures and cult leaders.
