Alpha Wolf - A Quiet Place to Die

There will be no quiet places to die while you are blowing out your eardrums with Alpha Wolf’s new album “A Quiet Place to Die”.

Right away the band is trying to obliterate you with massive guitars, and super heavy riffs. It doesn’t let up either, it’s heavy on top of heavy the farther you go along into the album. For those unfamiliar with Alpha Wolf, if I were to compare them to others bands, think of it like if Periphery and TesseracT had a baby with Meshuggah.

Emmure - Hindsight

Drudging through the almost-demise of Emmure in 2015, Frankie Palmeri recruited a fresh, new line-up that resurrected the deathcore outfit. “Hindsight” builds on this new, evolved band, while still showing that they made it through the darkness.

“(F)inally (U)nderstand (N)othing”, which seems to cross some generations. The track is a melting pot of groove, nu metal and God knows what else, with vocal mastery from Palmeri.

An iron will is only ever hardened within the forge, and Australia’s fastest rising metalcore act Alpha Wolf have proven they are made of sterner stuff. Building on every lesson learnt from their 2019 EP “Fault”, the band today announce their sophomore album “A Quiet Place to Die” will be released on September 25th, 2020, via Greyscale Records / Sharptone Records.
