Stigmhate
The Sun Collapse
Bakerteam Records
2012
Satanic, cruel, shadowy, black, ambiguous metal music… straight from the frozen mountains of Scandinavia. But wait a moment… Stigmhate are coming from Italy! If I hadn’t seen it on the official press info… I would never have guessed it. I would bet that this is another Norwegian or Swedish black metal band.
Stigmhate are typically influenced by the Scandinavian black metal scene and from bands like: Dimmu Borgir, Dark Funeral, Immortal, Gorgoroth, Behemoph (they are too influenced by the Scandi scene) and the rest. They do have a more primitive sense of black metal as you won’t find any melodies or symphonic & synth parts here. Mostly old school fast drumming, evil voices from the abyss… with an impious, sore atmosphere. The sound is very powerful and raw… as the album was recorded and mixed between Outer Sound Studios and Destroyed Studios by Giuseppe Orlando (Novembre) and the band’s own guitarist Mike, and mastered at Hertz Studios, Poland.
If you are into this kind of music, then you will find “The Sun Collapse” truly interesting. You will listen to some fine black metal songs telling an apocalyptic tale about the end of human existence. This is only suggested to the true black metal fans.
