After the band’s reunion and the release of “Hard to the Core” in 2014, Ryker’s send the message that they are here to stay and they are more resolute and passionate than ever before.

First of all, the big change was made with the addition of the new singer Dennis, previously on the mic for Brightside and Tausend Lowen unter Feinden. His voice is different than the ex-vocalist Kid D., but it’s fully powerful and fits the band like a glove. Probably, it will take a while for the old-time fans of the band to get used to Dennis, but I’m pretty sure that they will embrace him after a while… especially after some live shows. The guest appearances on the album are: Mike Dijan (Breakdown, Skarthead, Crown Of Thornz) on “Fair Play Overrated”, Samuel El Action (Scheisse Minelli) om “We Ain’t Go Away” and Craig Setari (Sick Of It All) on “Distractions”. The production, by Andy Classen (Holy Moses, Rotting Christ, Krisiun, Tankard, etc.), is tight & punchy.

“Never Meant to Last” is aggressive, vigorous, brutal & full of energy. It never leaves the listener to rest – not for a while (“redemption” comes in the end with the “Cowboy Song”). The hardcore music of the band is finely mixed with (thrash) metal & punk elements and the result is like a punch in the stomach. If you are a fan of the band and you fancy ballsy hardcore music then “Never Meant to Last” will gratify you in many ways…
