Oxygen - Final Warning

Oxygen is the new music vehicle of the vocalist/guitarist Tony Niva who has been in several bands like: Lion’s Share, Malibu Band, Tracy Goes Crazy, Axia & his own Niva. With his personal band, Niva, he released the debut album, “No Capitulation”. Now the paradox with this release is that it was released in Japan under the name Niva with the title “Gold from the Future” last year. Here, we have the European release of the same album with a different title and under a new name!

Moving to more AOR/melodic rock paths… Niva and his guys are presenting a tasteful and very melodic rock album. Beautiful hooks, nice performances and in general, a very good sound. They do have some Survivor, Grand Illusion, Treat, Crystal Blue, Diving For Pearls, Shy & TNT influences here and there… while the result is rather personal and fresh. Highlights here are: “Janitor of Love”, “When Tomorrow Never Comes”, “I Remember” (an amazing ballad), “Gold from the Future” (Tony hits some very high notes here), “Best Days of Our Lives”, “You” & “Bring Back the Joy”.

“Final Warning” is a wonderful AOR/melodic rock album that will gratify all the fans of the genre. It contains many catchy and well-performed tunes… moreover, it beats most of the genre’s new and massively advertised releases lately. Do taste this album if you fancy this kind of music…
