Two years may have passed since the band’s previous work but nothing has really changed for them. What I’ve written about “Sounds Like Hell, Looks Like Heaven” back then, can actually be said for their new album. If we exclude the fact that the production here is a bit rawer and not as good the previous release and that there is a new drummer Jejo Perkovic (ex-Candlemass, ex-Abstrakt Algebra) who’s playing with the band now, everything is more or less the same.

Mustasch are still fantasizing of being Metallica, possibly in another parallel Universe and they have mixed ‘em up with other idols of theirs like The Cult, Rammstein, Danzing & so on. It’s like a quiz game at times; trying to guess which song they have “borrowed” this or that part from the fun goes on. It would have been way more conventional & outspoken to call Mustasch a tribute or cover band of the 80s/90s metal, rock, gothic, heavy rock/stoner acts and go on like that.

Then again, it’s true that on this album they do not openly “copy-paste” certain well-known tracks like they did on their previous album but various parts of them. Probably, that’s why this album featured 8 so damn generic & dull tacks that will make anyone deal with something else while listening to it. Yeap, there’s the homonymous track which it’s fine and it has a good refrain, but on the other hand I’m still trying to find out what it reminds me of. “The rock/disco like “I Hate to Dance” might be among the top absurd tracks for 2014 and the year hasn’t even started! Poor me! How did I end up listening and reviewing a Mustasch album again? Am I a fetishist or Mustasch are trying to make me one?! Then again, I should say a “Thank You for the Boredom”…
