Vietcong Pornsurfers consists of four boys from Falun, Sweden. They have been playing dangerous punk rock since the fall of 2007. The band was started simply to make up for the lack of true cool rock bands, and too many old “long gone past the best before date” acts. Since the start, three demo discs has been spread to all corners of the known world and in 2010 they released their debut album, “Restless, Young, Hungry and Free”, on cassette tape (!?). The album received a lot of attention due to its outdated physical appearance, and in the spring 2011 the Italian label Street Symphonies released the album on CD.
The 20th of May 2013, the band will release their second album, “We Spread Diseases”, on the new founded label Dangerous Rock Records. The first single “I Hate Your Band” is released the 25th of February and will be the kick-off for a spring tour.
Single Tracklist:
1. I Hate Your Band
2. Dead Track
Vinyl Edition:
1. I Hate Your Band
2. Out Of Control
Until the release of the album the band will be wasting their health on the road. For the 3rd time now, the band will be traveling throughout all of Europe, in their tour bus armed with deadly shark teeth. First, there will be a bunch of gigs in their home country, then across the Baltic sea to Finland. From there, the journey continues down through Germany, Belgium, and Switzerland to Italy. Then home again through Austria, Czech Republic, Germany and finally Poland. Back at home there will be a short break to catch the breath, and then the release of the new album, the 20th of May with a few more gig dates. In total there is 28 gigs booked before the summer.
Except the journeys down on the continent, Vietcong Pornsurfers have made a lot of shows all over Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia. The last summers has been filled with festivals, including Peace and Love Festival (Bob Dylan, Turbonegro, Social Distortion…) Getaway Rock Festival (Yngwie Malmsteen, Manowar, Suicidal Tendencies…) and Rockstad: Falun (Entombed, Helloween, Sabaton…), and many others.
No silly stuff, Vietcong Pornsurfers knows how to take the stage and deliver kick-ass rock tunes in tight punkrock style. A la Gluecifer, Deadboys and Iggy & The Stooges.
