Genre-defying alt duo The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara continue to excel with the launch of their incoming new single, “The Prophet”, which arrives via all major streaming sites on Friday 26th November, 2021. This imposing track will also be backed by a stunning new video, set to be released on Thursday 2nd December, 2021.

Born early 2020, The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) are based in London. However, the roots of the twosome are fittingly distinct: Daphne Ang (Vocals, Piano, Keyboard) was born in Singapore, and Andrea Papi (Guitar, Bass, Vocals) hails from Italy. By drawing from a raft of influences, most notably Tool, Kraftwerk, and Devin Townsend, TCOMAS strikingly mesh music, literature, and history together into a melting pot where rock, prog and metal merge triumphantly with electronica. This engrossing cocktail has seen the alt crew captivate new fans and audiences. All of this has been backed by a formidable work ethic and quality musical output. So far, TCOMAS have released eight stunning singles and music videos, along with their blistering debut album, “Full Spectrum”. Numerous singles plucked from “Full Spectrum” also secured positions in many Spotify curated official playlists.

TCOMAS’s brand new single, “The Prophet”, is another potent slab of layered progressive stout rock which only serves to increase the twosome’s soaring stock. Daphne from the band elaborates about the track: “The song is a tribute to Sylvia Plath’s poem, Lady Lazarus, in which the "The Prophet" is told through the eyes of an advanced A.I robot who is "resurrected" like the biblical Lazarus, but this time with a destructive super-intelligence, wreaking havoc upon her human creators. "The Prophet'' petitions for the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence technologies in order to protect human consciousness and our existence as a species. The song is an ominous reminder that if we are not careful, we might find ourselves with a technology that destroys the civilisation that invented it”.

The band’s eagerly awaited new album, along with fresh singles and enthralling videos are all slated for next year - 2022 is poised to be monolith for The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara.
