Tygers Of Pan Tang - play Sweden Rock this weekend, then headline Saturday night at SOS Festival, at Radcliffe Civic Hall, North Manchester. SOS hosts 22 bands on main stage, plus more on acoustic stages over 2 days, 21-22nd July. Tickets are only £10 for a single day & £15 for two days & available from Ticketline.
 
Absolva - this is the new band formed by Chris & Martin of Fury UK, in the wake of bassist Luke joining Iced Earth. We'd like to wish Luke all the very best as he joins up with Iced Earth on Monday. Dave Evans - the co-founder & original singer from AC/DC tours the UK for around a dozen dates beginning on 22nd June & will be a great selection of AC/DC material as well as songs from his Judgement Day album. Swanee River - Ireland's premier hard rock band begin their Tour Of England on 22nd June when they open for Dave Evans at The Towler in Bury. Swanee's tour includes further dates with the former AC/DC frontman as well as some headline shows. Check out the listings at www.swaneeriver.net.
 
October Sky - the Canadian ambient, alternative & epic performers bring their excellence to Manchester twice in July with appearances on 12th July at Grand Central, opening for ESO (formerly esOterica) & on 21st July play an acoustic set at SOS Festival. Steel Threads -  "the next Jethro Tull", according to the latest review at Get Your Rock, have released their debut album "Timing Is Everything" on Rocksector & that can be bought now on Amazon. The band with their unique combination of acoustic guitar, double bass & fiddle, together with a John Lennon-inspired lead vocal, are currently touring the UK on their "Proper Boozer" tour.
