Sirenia - Arcane Astral Aeons

Sirenia, a shining star in the Nordic symphonic gothic metal world, released their ninth album “Arcane Astral Aeons” through Napalm Records. I fell in love with this album when I first listened to it before interviewing Morten, on their latest tour. The dark fantasy style lyrics were brought to life by beautiful vocalist Emmanuelle Zoldan, complementing the rhythm and symphonic guitars and mystical keyboard.

Alestorm must be one of the worst bands that came out in the last few years. Keyboard laden “metal” with very average vocals that hardly register as proper singing. Pseudo folk aspirations, stolen from shanties and jigs, turned into simple songs with no real choruses.

“No Grave But the Sea” will be released on May 26th, 2017, on Napalm Records, now the band, fronted by Captain Chris Bowes, unveiled their upcoming album cover art as well as track listing.
