Seattle Space Shredders Xoth will release its debut full-length album “Invasion of the Tentacube” on November 10th, 2016.

Featuring ex-members of Phalgeron, Warbringer, and Lecherous Nocturne, Xoth can be likened to a blend of Bal-Sagoth, Vektob, ABSU, and Obscura!

Shane Gaalaas to release “Bitter Suites from the Red Room” on November 6th 2015

L.A.-based Canadian drummer, multi-instrumentalist & songwriter Shane Gaalaas (B'z, Cosmosquad, Diesel Machine, Glenn Hughes, MSG) has announced the worldwide release of his latest solo effort, “Bitter Suites from the Red Room”, which is gonna be released on November 6th 2015.

The album marks Gaalaas’ fourth overall and first all-instrumental outing and follows on the heels of 2014’s “Ascend”. A promotional video for the song “El Niño Overture”, with multi-angle footage from a recent Japanese drum clinic, can be viewed below.

The original soundtrack of “The Space Movie” by Mike Oldfield to be released on CD on October 16th 2015

Gonzo Multimedia will be releasing a newly restored and (finally) complete edition of Mike Oldfield and Tony Palmer's “The Space Movie”. For the very first time the original soundtrack featuring all the talk-back between the astronauts and ground control, as well as orchestral versions of music by Mike Oldfield will be released on CD!

This classic film was originally commissioned by London Weekend Television and Virgin Films in 1979 to mark the 10th Anniversary of the first landing on the moon, July 21st 1969. A recent discovery of a print in mint condition has enabled us to issue the film in a sparkling new (and complete!) edition.

Welcome back Christer & Arild after a 5 year hiatus! Why did it take you so long? What happened in the meantime?
 
C: Thank you for welcoming us back, Thanos! It’s great to be back and see the positive response to the new album! We didn’t mean for it to take so long, but the universe is unpredictable. The short version is simple – we had to reorganize our entire operation. We split from our record label and waited for the rights to our albums to revert back to us, so that we would be in a position to set up Keldian under our own umbrella and trade our music directly with our fans, no middle-men.
 

Keldian - Outbound

Keldian, the project, which is run by Christer Andresen (lead vocals, guitars, bass) & Arild Aardalen (synthesizers, vocals) is back in business after a 5-year hiatus. Certainly, five years of absence are not of minor importance, especially nowadays when albums outnumber hot cakes every month, but if that time off works for their own benefit, then it’s more than OK. After all, musicians also need space to free their mind, gather their powers and come up with something actually strong.
 

Midryasi - Black, Blue & Violet

Four year after their second release, Midryasi are back with a new album under a new label. The band’s heavy rock, doom, psychedelic, prog, space & rock amalgam is evolving on each new work.
 
“Black, Blue & Violet” is following the band’s progression into a gloomy, hallucinogenic & obscure alleyway. All this psycho-doom-panic-murky atmosphere they create, has a pleasant edge especially to those who are fond of such things. The sound is also fabulous with bits of 70s psychedelia now and again but without being old-fashioned in the least.
 

Wintersun - Time I

Well, I’m sure that 8 years in the pipeline were more than enough for the band’s fans. The recording sessions may have started in 2007 but it was not until the summer of 2012 that the whole album was finally finished. Can you imagine what it means to write, record, mix & produce an album for almost 5 years? Surely, Jari & the other members too had the time of their life. “Time I” came to be longer than they thought it could be, so they split it in two parts… “Time I”, which is out already and “Time II”, which will be released sometime in 2013.
 

The Steve Hillage Band - Gong Unconvention Amsterdam 2006

I bet most of you will agree that watching a live show on a DVD is better than just listening to it… especially if the show has something to offer stylistically. The Gong Family Unconvention at the Melkweg club in Amsterdam in November 2006 was a unique three-day event in which all the original members of the legendary psychedelic band Gong came together and performed their own individual sets.
