Volbeat live in London 2019

Danko Jones started with a dark stage and flashing redlights. As the beat starts to ring out, the lights hit in as they enter the stage. They were met by raucous applause and fists raised in the air. The heavy beat pounds, and the bassist gets the crowd pumped and clapping along, as they introduce themselves. “This one goes out to all you who turned up early, aka you”!

Witchstone - Mortal Fear of Infinity

I wonder how long till the fad of 70s fawx hypsteria subsides and these neo-doom-drone-desert and similar bands go the way of dinosaurs…

Witchstone is a Canadian quintet that performs this 70s inspired 90s doom hybrid, sounding like it was recorded inside a big tank, with 3$ microphones and if the above description and lo-fi values and 4 songs all above the eight minute mark gets you wet, then you’re in for a treat.

Nashville Pussy - Up the Dosage

They have been described as psychobilly, southern rock, hard rock, sleaze rock and even “cowpunk”. Never actually hitting it big, but managing to gather a sizeable fan base, one thing is for sure: Nashville Pussy are here to stay. Their new album is entitled “Up the Dosage” and is filled with the row and rude sound that the band is known for. Blaine Cartwright, Nashville’s vocalist and guitarist, describes “Up the Dosage” as “our Back in Black”. I don’t know about that, but this record sure picks up where 2009’s “From Hell to Texas” left off.
