Plenty - It Could Be Home

Plenty was formed back in 1986. The founding members were Tim Bowness (No-Man, solo, etc.), Brian Hulse and David K Jones. Three cassette releases appeared between 1987 and 1988, and it was in 1990 when the band took a big hiatus till 2017, when Tim, Brian and David started re-recording the band’s 80s catalogue of 16 tracks, plus a new one, so as to complete their debut official release.

Hence, 30+ years later, they guys managed to release “It Could Be Home”, a full-length debut album made in the 80s and put out in the late 10s. Another “strange” music story, which remind us of the “never say never” quote.

Vola to release new studio album “Applause of a Distant Crowd” on October 12th 2018

Copenhagen’s progressive genre-crossing quartet Vola return with their new album “Applause of a Distant Crowd”, which will be released on October 12th, 2018, via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.

Vola's previous album “Inmazes” was met with a wave of critical praise; Prog Magazine lauded their “widescreen heavy stadium Prog”, Metal Hammer rejoiced in the “genre-defying, weighty riffs, gloomy, ambient soundscapes and guttural grooves”, whilst The Sun exclaimed their “genre-mashing” ability.

Plenty to release new studio album “It Could Be Home” on April 27th 2018

It might have taken Plenty three decades, including a long period of dormancy, to release a new album, but there is absolutely no doubting that Plenty’s pedigree promises an album well-worth the wait.

Formed in 1986 from the remnants of the eccentric Liverpool-based Post-Punk ensemble A Better Mousetrap and the Art Rockers from Warrington, After The Stranger, Plenty would be the immediate predecessor to Tim Bowness’ No-Man band. With a sound that alternated between electro-pop anthems, poignant ballads and ambient experiments, and with a distinct nod towards contemporary artists such as The Blue Nile and Prefab Sprout, Plenty found themselves positioned alongside icons such as David Bowie and Peter Gabriel.
