Shining who recently announced their intention to Blow the Doors off with new album “Animal”, have shared a lyric video for the title track alongside a huge run of European dates.

Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist & songwriter, frontman Jørgen Munkeby comments: “while writing these songs we always thought about how we could make sure they would sound awesome in a live setting. Now we finally get to play them there! In club somewhere in Europe, with a sweaty and excited audience screaming along! Can’t wait to see you all there!”

With new album Animal set for release on 19th October through Spinefarm, Munkeby is making his most audacious move yet with the former jazz-metal collective.

Norwegian Blackjazz band Shining have announced a headline European tour, set to take place in Oct/Nov this year.

These shows follow the band’s recent concert on a narrow Norwegian mountain ledge 700 metres above the ground – a world first.

The band had a PA system and power generator flown up to the ledge, where they proceeded to blast out their patented Blackjazz music to a group of 300 fans and mountain hikers who had made the daunting five hour trip to the ‘Troll’s Tongue’ summit.

This Sunday, June 21st, on the solstice and longest day of the year, Norwegian Blackjazz collective Shining played the world’s first concert on a narrow mountain ledge 700 metres above the ground.

The band flew up a PA system and a power generator, and blasted their patented Blackjazz music to a group of 300 fans and mountain hikers who had made the daunting five hour trip to the ‘Troll’s Tongue’ summit.

Shining will release the new album "One One One" on June 4th in Europe (excluding Norway) and on June 7th in Germany and Austria. The blackjazz pioneers heads out on a Norwegian tour starting June 29th, so be sure to check out the tour dates below.
