Protokult to release new studio album “Transcending the Ruins” on October 1st 2020

Protokult have been defining folk/pagan metal since 2009 when they released their debut album “Ancestral Anthems”, since then they have created three additional uncompromising and relentless albums with their fifth “Transcending the Ruins” coming out on October 1st, 2020.

Ruadh to release new studio album “The Rock of the Clyde” on May 22nd 2020

Ruadh (which is pronounced “Roo-Ah” and translates to “red”) is an Atmospheric Black Metal solo-project from Glasgow, Scotland.

Drawing from the vast well of history, culture and mythology, musician and songwriter Tom Perrett set out to compose music purely to taste, creating an unmistakable atmosphere with the beating heart of old school Black Metal favourites of his, such as Windir, Bathory, Burzum and others, which should also appeal to fans of Saor, Winterfylleth, Panopticon and similar acts.

Feuerschwanz release live video for new single “Metfest” and announces new album “Das elfte Gebot”

German medieval rock masters Feuerschwanz have released the official live video for “Metfest”, the first single off the band’s upcoming album, “Das elfte Gebot”.

“Metfest” is that anthem that makes any party a real one! Super catchy medieval, yet rocky melodies, frenetic singalongs and an ode to friendship! A song to grab your best bud and a barrel of mead to and crank it up!

Marko Hietala - Pyre of the Black Heart

Tarot and Nightwish member Marko Heitala is an excellent musician, who has probably gotten a fairly good deal, by joining his fellow countrymen, as he’s able to write and tour with one of the more successful rock bands in recent times, while at the same time have an avenue to release his “side projects”, which would otherwise be lost to relative obscurity.

Aherusia - Nostos ~ An Answer (?)

I was never, much of a fan of Aherusia’s first couple of albums, considering them to be a neat, if not a little more artistic, version of Rotting Christ, a band I was never too big on, with the exception of a couple of albums, due to their poor English enunciation. This however totally changed around, when the former released their third album, “Prometheus”, an ambitious concept album, which decides to modernize and give its own interpretation to the Promethean myth.
