Gain/Sony seems to have got some bands that are doing well enough, despite some of them being hopelessly average.

The Last Band have going on for half a decade, releasing an EP and occasional singles with the aid of local mags and spirits companies. Sounding like a more modern and extreme version of Hardcore Superstar and their ilk at their hardest, with a Guns n Roses edge, but a very boring screamo sort of mentality, with the singer constantly shouting out the lyrics. I guess a couple of tunes, like “The Hunt” and “Pretty Boys” are sort of OK.

It might be a good idea if their singer started singing for a change, because he seems capable of the task, but if they’re going on a tour with the hapless label mate clowns, Avatar, I highly doubt that might be the case. So I rest mine. One of the most tiresome 36 minutes I ever spent in the last few years.
