Redline - Vice

Escape Music
“Vice” is the sophomore work of Redline which comes from the legendary, UK suburb, Birmingham. Having been influenced by the bands that made Birmingham a well-known UK territory like: Judas Priest & Black Sabbath… Redline are true to hard & heavy music.
Balancing between hard rock and heavy metal music they have added several traditional 80s - 90s metal features (Dio, Diamond Head, Accept, Saxon etc.) to their music as well. Heavy guitars, powerful rhythm section, straightforward songs and nice vocals… reminding us of a late 80s/early 90s period. The production is a bit “raw” but dynamic too… as the album was recorded at Mad Hat Studios in which bands such as: Magnum, Diamond Head and Marshall Law have recorded their work. Additional work on a number of tracks also took place at: The Old Smithy Studios where Trapeze and Judas Priest recorded their last 2 albums.
The guest appearances of Jimmy Lea (Slade) & Pete Lakin (ex-Double Cross/Fatemaker) on the power ballad “Cold Silence” & the addition of violin, cello & piano parts gave the song a more dramatic vibe and surely made it better. “Vice” is a pure hard n’ heavy album, with an 80s attitude that will please those who fancy this kind of music and like to listen to such things no matter how retro, or overdone they are to some people’s ears… after all, the 80s metal lovers do not care for such things… do they?!
