“Matters” is Pulley’s fifth release on Epitaph and they are still offering us good melodic punk rock music. Of course, their music has been influenced by the great Bad Religion but their songs have also got a Pulley’s mark. This time the production of the album was made by Matt Hyde (Slayer, No Doubt, Sum 41, Fu Manchu, Monster Magnet, etc…), and I must say that it is terrific!

The songs are very good; most of them are up-tempo and a few others in mid-tempo. The singer Scot Randinsky is truly one of the best vocalists of this genre. Best songs of the album are without a shred of doubt, “A Bad Reputation”, “Blindfold”, “Huber Breeze”, “Insects Destroy” (my favorite one), “Immune”, “YSC”, “I Remember” and “Suitcase”. The last song of the CD, “Thanks” is an acoustic tribute to the fans of the band.

Also, the CD contains four video clips, in which we can see scenes from Pulley’s studio while they were recording this album, and hear some comments from the members of the band as well. Do not expect any drastic changes in Pulley’s music style here. As we said before, this album is recommended to the lovers of punk rock music and especially to the fans of the band. You will totally enjoy it.
