Right. Pitch Black Mentality is primarily a Norweigian band that has used a multitude of musicians to record this album, some of them even from as far as Chile... the usual namedropping is done… that some people have played in Audrey Horne, (I personally, could not give a shit about that poppy band – but go right ahead – name drop some more, hoping some open minded hipster might be impressed)…

Oh and allegedly T. Hansen has mixed this. Well, while it doesn’t completely sound like shit, it doesn’t sound good either. Compress the living shit out of everything and put that plastic shit/sorry I meant to say drums that sound ultra-muddy in combination with the bass and that constipated guy, sorry I meant to say, singer, up front, while the rather uninteresting guitars are just floating around… well... makes for one boring album... also is it the same guy/singer that at times remembers to do a power metal impression? (why?)

The press release says the band started as a Metallica cover band... well this is some fourth rate, Metallica inspired, band, which has writers block. There’s the occasional decent idea, but there just too many boring moments and the singer is very mediocre and at very best he sounds like a very bad Hetfield imitation, which is not very complimentary as Hetfield is not a very good singer to begin with. (even though he was one of the bad singers that managed to get a whole lotta better)…

I really could not comment on particular songs of the album, since it seems to be mostly recycling the same riffs and tempos... Fellow Scandinavians (Norwegians), Am I Blood were much better at this, and they still didn’t do much… so these pretty hapless guys must try much much harder if they want to do anything...
