Having been influenced (mostly) by the European thrash metal genre and by adding a few Bay Area thrash elements here & there, Godslave present their new – third – release in 6 years of existence.

In truth to be told, “In Hell” is a totally vigorous thrash metal album. Starting by the band’s attitude, their heavy guitars, their “raw” production and their will to make some heads roll… everything here smells “thrash” miles away. However, Godslave move on safe waters. I mean everything here has been “said & done” numerous times before. There’s nothing risky about this release. Everything is in the right place… everything’s been done by the “thrash” book. It kinda becomes a bit predictable at long last for someone who’s not a thrash metal maniac, like me.

I would prefer them to be more challengeable on their thrash metal approach but this is quite hard to achieve even for the big thrash metal bands of our time. Nevertheless, “In Hell” is a solid work which will be appreciated by the thrash metal supporters…
