Megadeth have official parted ways (once again) with bassist and co-founder David Ellefson, after he was accused of sexual misconduct. The whole thing came out on May 10th, 2021, and it has taken too much publicity till now, even though the accusations were denied from both parties.

David has also parted ways with Megadeth back in 2002, after a serious incident that he and Mustaine had due to royalties and copyright issues.

Finally, today, after 14 days, Dave Mustaine has released the following official statement: “We are informing our fans that David Ellefson is no longer playing with Megadeth and that we are officially parting ways with him. We do not take this decision lightly. While we do not know every detail of what occurred, with an already strained relationship, what has already been revealed now is enough to make working together impossible moving forward. We look forward to seeing our fans on the road this summer, and we cannot wait to share our brand new music with the world. It is almost complete”.
