Grande Rock exlusively reports...

Jorn Lande from the band JORN recently reported to one of our collaborators during one of the UNITY concerts in Greece, that his next intended recording is to be a concept album about the life of Count Vlad the III, Prince of Wallachia, widely known as Vlad, The Impaler or by his patronymic name Vlad Dracul(a).

The whole story  explores the inner struggle inside the multifaceted and engorging character that this mysterious 15th century personality was, while also taking into account some of the metaphysical aspects that have been passed into literature, forming the whole basis of the vampire mythos.

Jorn seems to be co writting much of the music with  guitarist Trond Holter (aka Teeny), from the recently dissolved Norwegian glam rockers Wig Wam, who did recently join the ranks of JORN along with fellow Wig Wam alumnus Brent Jansen (aka Flash), who some of you might also recognize from his involvement in classic metallers ARTCH. An unknown at this point (?) Norwegian (?) female lead vocalist is also expected to partake in the project, with recordings cited to begin soon, as the writing is close to being finished.

At this point it wasn't made entirely clear if this is going to be the new JORN album or some sort of side project, (ala Nostradamus a rock opera in which Jorn had contributed his vocal talents in the past) but this is probably something that we will find out, fairly soon when formal announcements about this project are actually made!
