Simple Lies - Let It Kill

Just by listening to the first song, on the album, without even looking them up, I knew Simple Lies, had to be Italians... and by googling, around I only found my prediction to be true. They have a clean, but strong production and seem to be influenced by The Motley Crues in their decline and decadent years and the Solinger years of Skid Row, only a lot more alternative flavored, think Altered Bridge and the like, but their singer is completely whiney and weak and has this very Italian way of accenting certain syllables, which doesn’t help them. The production also doesn’t have the same “oomph” as some of the band they try to “copy”! Maybe I liked “Freak Show”, “Miss Anthropy” and the closer “The King is Dead” out of the album, but the singer, is a dealbreaker for me, in their case…
