Reuben Archer is no stranger to the rock/metal circles. If you deal with this kind of music, then you have surely heard of his band Stampede or Lionheart, Lautrec & Wild Horses which are the bands he has been part of in the past. Auspiciously, entering his 7th decade (I wish he’s OK & rockin’ for long), Reuben presents his first solo work ever which is a return to the basics in a way. And what do I mean by the term “basics”? Well, it’s easy. Think of the 70s classic rock music, with various rock & roll, hard rock, melodic and blues-rock passages.

By his side we have some renowned rockers such as: Dave Meniketti (Y&T), John ‘Rhino’ Edwards (Status Quo), Neil Murray (Whitesnake, Gary Moore, Snakecharmer), Harry James (Magnum, Thunder, Snakecharmer), Luke Morley (Thunder, The Union), Paul Quinn (Saxon), Paul Raymond (UFO, PRP), Derek Holt (Climax Blues Band), Rocky Newton (Lionheart, MSG), Kevin Riddles (Angel Witch, Tytan) and Steve Holbrook (Frome, Stampede). Quite impressive guest appearances, can’t you tell? The album was produced by Reuben and Rob Wolverson and mastered by Ade Emsley (Iron Maiden, Steve Harris). The sound is incredibly clear and rockin’ with a contemporary touch.

What “Personal Sin” offers open-handedly is almost 70 minutes of classic rock music. What else should a fan of this kind ask for? This ain’t a booty-call as some may think… nor anything near it. Reuben showcases a worthy music quality throughout the album and he delivers the goods right from the heart. Thus, “Personal Sin” is a genuine rockin’ album by a true rocker… Cheers…
