Korn - The Path Of Totality

Among others… Korn released their 10th studio album… many albums indeed… for a band that has offered music nothing in general. Moreover, “The Path Of Totality” is an “experimental” album… where the band expands its musical borders and embellishes its sound with dubstep and electronic elements. An “evolutionary” work from a band that can barely play the basics… and haven’t delivered any good songs throughout their career! What a revolution!!!

 

The nu shitty/gay/wannabe metal music of the band… blended with dubstep and electronic elements… was just made so as to produce a more shitty/gay rock/du(mp)bstep album! The band recorded “The Path of Totality” with electronic producers back in Davis’ home studio in Bakersfield… and Jonathan Davis’ vocals (truly awful) were actually tracked in the singer's home theater or in closets and hotels everywhere… from Korea to Japan… wow!! Why not in the toilet while he was using it? How extraordinary… home studio, closets, WCs etc… while “great” DJs, dubstep and electronic music producers like Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Noisia, Kill the Noise, and 12th Planet are also participating in it… so, maybe the next album… had better be produced in a laptop… gratefully all the aforementioned DJs-producers must have a “cracked” music program on their laptop, where they can produce something really groundbreaking! We will be thankful to them after 30 or more years… this is the real meaning of music… not bands… like… Sabbath, Rainbow, AC/DC etc… these groups will be forgotten in the next years… while the novelty aforementioned (laptop) producers… will be honored by humanity for their unique impact to music!

 

Is this a joke?? Oh how else can I take it? Are they kidding us? Does this band have anything to do with metal or rock music? Along with Limp Bizkit, this is the most overrated band of our time. They try to play metal riffs by copying the guys that taught how riffed metal should be played (Mustaine & Hetfield), without a small piece of inspiration. So, after some truly garbage music… this is their time to “experiment”… sorry guys but masturbating in a luxury bathroom does not make you look superior to the other masturbators… thus, cut off the bullshit with the evolution musical thing… you cannot play music… hence, you cannot evolve in anything…

 

The bad thing is that thousands (maybe millions) of people will buy this shit… and then (pop)Korn will be a successful band once more… while other great bands/artists that can actually play music and write superb songs will continue to exist in the underground scene. That’s the policy of the big music labels that have taken control of the music. They control what should be played and when or where it should be played… (all the radio stations are playing the same music all day long)… they support, distribute and advertise the same artists/bands again and again… they own and control the whole music market… and the worst of all is that millions of people are supporting these music destroyers… the big multinational music labels. Sad but true… and the story goes on… always the same old story…

 

Give to any underground band the same promotion, distribution, support and advertising… and then see if the album sales will still be infinitesimal… and how much recognition they will gain… but… we are talking about actual (rock/metal) music… but then again the big multinational music labels-destroyers… do not care about music at all… therefore, they will continue to offer their shit to the people…

 

In a nutshell, Korn managed to release an even worse album than “Lulu”… I must applaud them… for releasing the most horrible album of the year!
