An album of rare and unreleased Tommy Bolin music will be launched next month via Cleopatra Records.
“Whirlwind” includes songs the Deep Purple guitarist was preparing for his third solo album before his tragic death in 1976.
It also features recordings by his jazz-rock outfit "Energy" and a 26-minute version of "Marching Powder", called "Marching Bag", from his album "Teaser".
Bolin, who also worked with the James Gang and the Billy Cobham Band, among others, died aged 25 in 1976 after a drugs overdose.
The annual Tommy Bolin Music Festival takes place on August 3 in his home town of Sioux City, Iowa.
