Katatonia - Last Fair Day Gone Night 2CD/2DVD set out on September 30th 2014

Swedish master of melancholy, Katatonia, has announced a four-disc CD/DVD set, “Last Fair Day Gone Night”, to be released September on 30th, 2014 on Peaceville. “Last Fair Day Gone Night” showcases the dark rock/metal band at its glorious best, complete with an electrifying set from London's esteemed Koko venue, with the band's captivating performance captured on DVD with accompanying double audio disc of the whole concert. A fourth disc also includes a full and extensive (136 minutes) documentary charting the early days and the band's subsequent rise, as told in the words of band masterminds Jonas Renkse and Anders Nyström.

Leprous announces North American Tour 2014 & new album

Harlott signs with Punishment 18 Records

Australian thrash metallers Harlott has signed a new deal with Punishment 18 Records in order to promote and distribute the new debut full-length album titled "Origin".
The band stated:

Boston releases Christmas digital single “God Rest Ye Metal Gentlemen”

Multi-platinum band BOSTON is celebrating the holiday season with the release of a rocking twist on a Christmas classic titled ““God Rest Ye Metal Gentlemen”.” This festive song, produced by BOSTON mastermind Tom Scholz, is available today on iTunes and features Kimberley Dahme on bass and lead vocal, Gary Pihl and Scholz on vocals and guitars, along with Tom Hambridge on drums.

Beauty In The Suffering - “The Crazies (The Zombie Song)” video out now

Beauty In The Suffering, the newly launched electro-metal studio project from producer DieTrich Thrall (Marazene), have released the full production video for their debut single “The Crazies (The Zombie Song)” the ultimate zombie apocalypse party/rally as told from the perspective of the zombies. The track is available for download now at the bands Bandcamp page here. The band had previously posted a lyric video version a few weeks ago.

Lita Ford & Cherie Currie - “Rock This Christmas Down”

Two of the most influential women in Rock and Roll have reunited for a special holiday song. Lita Ford has partnered up with her former Runaways band mate Cherie Currie for what is sure to be a new Christmas Classic.
The song “Rock This Christmas Down” is the first time Lita and Cherie have recorded new music together since 1977.

Eluveitie part ways with longtime violinist Meri Tadic

Swiss Folk Metal institution ELUVEITIE have just announced to be parting ways on mutual agreement with longtime violinist Meri Tadic at the end of 2013. The “ELUVEITIE & Friends III” Festival, which will take place on December 28th, 2013 in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, will be the final appearance of the eight piece music act.
