Alternative rock outfit Greywind (Ireland) have announced their debut UK headline tour for December to bid farewell to their debut album “Afterthoughts” before hitting the studio to record new music.
Greywind are a two-piece alternative rock band from Killarney in Ireland formed by siblings Steph and Paul O’Sullivan. In their first 20 shows as a band they have already achieved playing some of the biggest festivals in the world, including Reading and Leeds Festival, Download Festival and Rock Am Ring. They have been heavily backed by major publications such as Kerrang! Magazine, Alternative Press, Rock Sound and Upset. Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1 and MTV have all been big supporters of the band.
The Greywind story is a potent reminder that a whole new world of possibilities could be waiting just a few clicks away. Rewind a few years and an aspiring band had one option: to hit the road and get their talents in front of as many potential fans as humanly possible. By contrast, Greywind’s rise to prominence started before they’d even played a single gig.
The siblings have now announced a run of UK shows, and tickets can be bought here.
Support acts to be announced in due course.
UK Tour Dates 2018:
10th December - Edinburgh, Bannerman’s
11th December - Birmingham, The Flapper
12th December - Nottingham, Bodega
13th December - London, Thousand Island
14th December - Manchester, Factory
15th December - Bridgwater, Cobblestones
16th December - Southampton, Joiners
Steph O’Sullivan says this about the tour:
“We’re so excited to announce our first ever headline tour. It’s going to be the perfect end to the year for us to finally headline across the UK before we focus on recording new music in 2019. These shows are going to be so special and we can’t wait for them”.
