Different perspectives cause turmoil...

GR logoSometimes you may not have a clue of what the next editorial would be like, but suddenly something always shows you the way. This month I’d like to refer to an “odd situation” which occurred after the publication of an album review.

I understand that most bands/musicians believe that their albums are the best music works the world have ever experienced but the truth – or at least all the opinions might not be the same. Learning to respect the other people’s opinion even if you do not totally agree with them and laying down some arguments to back up your saying is better than cursing, threatening or behaving like a “wild animal”.

Certainly, the way we respond to various cases in our lives showcases our human value, our education, our self-respect and our good manners. If we do not have any of the latter, then it’s more possible for our behaviour to be worse than that of any wild animal. Also cursing, or acting like a lunatic and at the same time hiding behind anonymity (or so you think) is even more tragic. You do not have the guts (or something else) to support your opinion eponymously!!! How piteous is that?!!

Moreover, if any editor writes things that they assume or haven’t understood really well, it is better to approach us by saying what the parts that need to be corrected due to “wrong info” are and we will make it for you. It’s a different thing to change (re-write) a review than to fix any wrong info it may contain. Mistakes may occur due to the quantity of new releases we receive each day and that’s humanly understandable. We do not have personal issues with any label, band or musician so all we’re trying to do is to spread the music word out to the world and nothing else.

About those labels, band PRists or musicians who decided to burn bridges with us cuz’ they didn’t fancy our reviews and they still think their releases should have been praised… all I can say is a big thx because we save up time when we don’t have to deal with releases that lack quality and with people that do not respect other opinions as their ego is inflated. There won’t be a comeback whatsoever, so some who think they can do this and that and then pretend to be the good guys again… they’d better forget all about it. We do not fall for any of their tricks anymore. Everyone has to face the consequences of their actions, right?!! Good luck!!!

PS1: The traffic has been increasing little by little but the last month we experienced something truly remarkable! The site traffic has skyrocketed indeed! Thank you all! That thing will give us even more courage and energy to do things even better! We’ll do our best to provide you with even more quality music stuff and that will eventually increase our traffic numbers even more!

PS2: We’ve decided to delete any negative, cursing or insulting messages under any article on GR from now on. You can express a different opinion without cursing and especially without being anonymous. That’s rule No1. If you do wanna speak your mind, then learn to do it by putting your real name without hiding behind anonymity.

PS3: This month’s editorial is dedicated to the renowned bluesman Johnny Winters… who passed away a couple of months ago. May He Rest In Peace…
